A Small Price to Pay

Eat babaghanouj for breakfast, reek of garlic all day! Oh, how I love this stuff!

Do we in the U.S. call this hummus? Or are they totally different?

Cos the description on the lid sounds just like hummus.

Hausfrau, Lory: on a bagel, no less. So good!

Misfit: nope, two different things. The main ingredient in hummus is chick peas (aka garbanzo beans); the main thing in baba ghanouj is eggplant. I like them both, but I like babaghanouj better!

See, I read "chickpeas" when it actually said "eggplant". Honestly.

I think I'd like it better, too.

I was impressed you could read anything at all on that rather blurry label, until just today I discovered by accident that if you click on these pictures, they come up big! I didn't know they did that!

But you probably didn't need to do that, because you are young and have strong, youthful eyes... :-)

I had to click on it just now --just to read it more clearly.
Still makes my mouth water...
