A road is born!

Slowly, as usual. Its nice to know that the UK is not the only country that takes a dog's age to complete any task.

So you will have a new road for Christmas then. Do you think that they'll put a bow on it for you?

Si: FINALLY!! It would be reasonable to believe that in Canada we'd be driven to do these things with greater dispatch, since no road work can be done during the winter at all. But noooo...

Simon: Yes, we will, and if they don't put a big bow on it for me, they should. More than anyone on this street - except perhaps the fellow in the wheelchair - I've earned it!

Jungs: My 12-year-old has been saying that for weeks now. She can hardly wait!

I bet the kids are loving the view of steamrollers and more heavy equipment.

And you'll have a street just in time for the snow plow to go through! :)

Crayonz: On the theory that anything is better with ice cream? Works for me: President's Choice Decadent Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream for me, please...

Sharkey: They do, indeed. Most afternoons after nap and waiting for their parents are spent on the front porch, watching the action. Woo-eee!
