Note to Self

I should know this. I should know this. I DO know this. What was I thinking? I had a headache this morning, felt a little droopy. Decided, therefore, that I wasn't up to the effort of getting them ready to go out. They could just play inside today. Am I nuts? So, here I am, a bit tired, a little head-achey, and stuck inside all day long, with six three-and-unders. I am nuts. Note to self: No matter how you feel, you'll feel worse if you don't get out.

Are you nuts?

Mary, Mary, don't ask us questions you don't want to hear the answers to. =)

You run a daycare !

You have to be nuts or at least infinitly patient.

Smile under the din and noise, they're cute most of the time :-)

my advice-take 'em out get fresh air-let them run til they drop and then everyone goes home and takes a nap.

win win situation.

OKAY, YOU PEOPLE! It was a rhetorical question, which I answered in the post. Sheesh... (I roll my eyes in mock despair.)

Kimmyk: Your advice is exactly mine to myself. Which I will certainly take tomorrow, if I'm not feeling better by then.

First, thanks for the advice. I hadn't thought about just forgetting my book. It actually sounds like a good option. Specially since I'm anal and I was going to buy the whole collection when it's complete. To have all the hard-covers, you know? gah! I'm crazy

And about the pictures, the colombian guys are snorting big-ass coke lines that were previously a zebra crossing.

Kimmyk: "advice which I shall certainly take tomorrow" - except that tomorrow has arrived, and it's pouring rain. Can you hear my heavy sigh?

man that sucks.
when we were stuck inside i did terrible

ok who wants the window cleaner and who wants the dust cloth? then they'd clean everything within spray distance and i'd walk behind and clean up after them. they'd re-arrage my shelves of canned goods....

they never wanted to play with their toys-they always wanted to "help". i'd let 'em help and we'd play music and dance in the livingroom.

now my kids will help me on saturdays without asking for help and they love to dance still while cleaning.

although, i know they're not yours...the same might work for you on rainy days.

hope you're feeling much better!

I'm feeling fine today. Those would be TERRIFIC ideas, except that I so hate housework... But still, train the little munchkins to do it, and there's less for me. Re-arranging canned goods, you say? Hmmmm...

I'm really nuts. My child loves to clean and even begs to do the laundry. I am the nut who won't let her yet.
How bad could it be?
(She's 7)
I kept one kiddo in today too--even though it only rained in the morning. He napped anyway and now they're both still up. 9:20pm...

Lory: Let her help! By ten, she can be doing the family laundry on her own. Seriously.

p.s. I say this because friends of mine divided up the household chores within their family, and their 10 year old did their laundry.Every week!
