A few flakes of snow flicker past the front window, driven in a chill wind to land on the sidewalks and instantly melt. It's not very appealing, but a little fresh air will do us all good. "Come on, guys! Let's get our stuff on and go outside!" Darcy is delighted. "Yay! Let's go outside and make a giant snowman!!"

It snowed here! It started early, early this morning (around 1am) when I was out on walksafe, and got a lot heavier around noon. There is now a patchy half cm or so that's quickly melting.

aginoth: It always feels cold the first few times the temperature drops below zero. Though of course it's relative: in my mind, anything down to -5 is mild. Right now it's -9 here. Now that's getting to cold!

Haley: We've had another snowfall since that one, and this one has stuck, at least on the lawns and the tops of the cars. It is pretty. Our neighbour's lilac tree, which we have to duck whenever we go in or out of the car, was a perfect pyramid of teeny powder-puffs, one per leaf.
