Rainbow Hockey

The participants of this conversation are three three-year-old boys. Names are unnecessary. They are arranging their hockey game. "You're the green team and I'm the black team, and you're the red team." "No, I'm the red team." "I'm the yellow team and you're the blue team." "He's the blue team?" "And you're the grey team." "No, he's the green team." "And I'm the yellow team!" "Yes! And I'm the blue." "And he's the red." Thus the game commences. Glad we got that sorted out!

It's the hockey version of "Who's on First?" Brilliant!

How did it end?
Red team eyes the goal but the blue team skates right by...the winners are the blue, I mean the grey, I mean the yellow! YES! Ladies and gentlemen--it's a victory for the Rainbow Hockey team(s)!

Hmm. I never knew one could play hockey with more than one team.

That's what I get for *not* thinking outside the box!

The team colours are important, so you know who to pass to. Except it sounds like there was only one player on each team in this game. In that case you only need to know which net not to score into (i.e., which net is your own).

LOL, rainbow hockey team!

Obviously Miss Mia didn't play because there was no pink team.

Hausfrau: That's exactly what it made me think of, too. I would have used that as the title, too, except that I've used it already!

Lory: It's every man for himself, and yet, utterly lacking in competition. A little surreal, but entirely satisfactory.

Aginoth: As long as it takes!

Misfit: See how drab our lives would be without kids in it to take us outside the box? Lucky me, I have a rainbow in my kitchen.

Q: And in this game, there are no nets!!! Can it possibly get any better? Every player his own team, and no nets!! Hmmm.... Perhaps the question should be: Can it possibly get more pointless?

Kimmyk: Absolutely right. No Mia, no pink team. But you know what? Last time lil Miss Mia was here, she was wearing pale BLUE!
