Playdough Press

Take a blob of playdough and a garlic press. Put together with a mechanically-inclined child, and you have hours - well, 45 minutes at least - of absorption.

I think that might be misterpie, if today is 1970-something.

I love the fascination that children have with playdough. In so many houses that I work in, it is outlawed, so if we have the opportunity to use it kids will jump at the chance. Hey, even I, at 20 years can play with playdough and all the new contraptions that go all with it for much longer than many other children's games without being bored out of my mind!

Kittenpie: He has that same intensity of focus? This boy is a budding engineer, I think.

Peter: The playdough itself is not much trouble: gather up all the bits and put them back in the tub. The garlic press gets thrown into a cup of water for an hour before getting rinsed out and put back in the basket. You can see that I have a plain pine table - for a reason!

Angela: I love the feel of the stuff. We make our own, and when it's fresh, it's so decadently soft. I'll work a bit in my fingers all day long...

I *love* Playdough just as much as my kids do.

Could you pass on your recipe again? I think you've posted it before? Maybe? We're trying to rid ourselves and our house of as many non-natural things as possible (an allergy cleanse, if you will), and I've misplaced my 'Dough recipe.

I agree with Candace, K and I would love your recipe! It's been a while since we've made any, and I struggle beyond belief with mom's stuff, it's always super sticky when we're done making it!
