Random, overheard

"George, take the leaf, and glue it, and stick the leaf in your NOSE!!!" BWAH-hahahaha... "I've got more than YOU, because YOU were sharing!" "We can't play with those* here, because Baby Nigel might eat one, and it might get stuck inside him, and it makes my mommy sad when Baby Nigel can't poop." "If I was a bird, I would sing and fly and poop on peoples' heads!" "ABCD, EFG, HIJK, I dunno to P..." *"those" being those tiny bears

That second quote sounds like something Bryce would say to Quinn. Poor younger kids always get the shaft when it comes to sharing. At least in my house.

The kid has the right idea. I I were a bird, I could think of several targets with no problem at all.

Love listening to kids.

I love the Alphabet one! When Diva Girl was at this stage, she learned it *backwards*. First it was Lalalalala W X Y Z! Then it was lalalalalaal Q......!

She's an odd child.

My favorite part was the alphabet bit, too!

I love the randomness- and that we're still talking about those bears! He's probably right that it would get stuck inside of Nigel (if he didn't choke on it first!) I wonder what toys Nigel has eaten that have gotten stuck inside? Sounds like a little one talking from experience to me!

I can't decide which line I like best--the bird and the sharing are neck and neck!

I love how I can see my kids in your charges!
My daughter would certainly be laughing about getting more as her brother shared---he wouldn't care though as he'd be singing the same alphabet song!
(He's learned to leave birds alone though--after being the victim of birds who think like your charges!)

That kid should move down south to the USA -- he`d fit in well here, especially with the current administration.

Kristen: This would be human nature in the raw. Generally, yup, you have the poor innocent younger child doing the sharing, and the machiavellian older one always ends up being the "sharee", somehow... (Unless the younger one is a shrieker: "NO! MINE!", even when the item in question had been in the other child's possession all along.) As I say, human nature!

Granny: Some of them on your gt-grandkids' school board, I'll bet!

MsS: That's a new one, even on me! Yes, you're quite right: She is an odd child.

mim: That "LMNO" bit gets them every time. Every time.

Angela: Nigel has some bowel issues, so that his diet has to be carefully constructed and monitored, thus there is more than usual focus on his pooping patterns! I'm sure George's concern stems from that.

Hausfrau: My ideal combination would be if the bird pooped on the non-sharer. Perfect!

Kittenpie: Okay, I'll come right over and see what's up.

Lorykc: My brother is the youngest of the three of us, and there are stories of him sharing out his package of Smarties to his vulture big sisters, and then, having passed over the last one, crying because the box was empty! (We girls got in trouble for that one.)

However, we got our come-uppance the natural way when one day he (in all innocence) shared his ice cream cone with us -- AFTER he'd let our dogs "have a lick".

Serves US right!

L: There are days when I'd happily see certain among them leave the country. I don't see their parents going for it, though...
