Darcy again. How is it possible to be so fond of a child I've never seen. Arthur too of course but there's just something about Darcy.

I get this picture of him. Sweet and accommodating. Whatever makes your boat float, George.

Too cute.
I'm sure Jesus would enjoy Wallace and Gromit.

Darcy and Arthur have great perspective.

We just watched the Were-Rabbit movie this weekend for the first time (yes, we only saw one movie in the theater this year - Harry Potter!) and loved it. Everyone needs a Gromit to help them in their lives.

Someday I'll get around to watching Wallace and Gromit. Perhaps once the kids have moved away to college.

Granny: "Whatever makes your boat float." Makes me laugh just reading it. But yeah, Darcy does do that, though sometimes with a facial expression that tells you he thinks it's a pretty silly-looking boat...

moe: I'm sure you're right. Good and evil, good triumphing in the end, ably assisted by loyalty and courage. Not so bad. And tons of clever-goofy cultural references thrown in for good measure!

LadyM: "Everybody needs a Gromit". I like it! Sounds like you are in my range when it comes to movies. I see in the order of 4 a year. Culturally impoverished, I know. But I'll see your movies and raise you a couple hundred books. Different strokes.

MamacitaTina: Babysitters! That's what babysitters are for! But I know. Once you add the cost of the movie, maybe some overpriced popcorn, and a babysitter - that's an awfully expensive evening out. When my kids were little, and I was single, I had a period when I rented movies. Mostly I rented stuff I could watch with the kids, because I'm just more of a book than a movie woman, but once in a while, I'd get one just for myself.
