Psst!

For three days running, someone has come here by Googling "It's Not All Mary Poppins blog". It's nice that I have a consistent reader, but, really, I think it would be simpler just to bookmark the page...

I have someone who googles the same search term every so often, it seems like when they "lose" my page! So, I kept having an interesting google search (not my blog name, and I don't remember what it was right now!) by someone trying to find my blog. I wanted to recommend bloglines or a bookmark, but never did!!

Freezio at Turn Into Stone made me aware of bloglines. Terrific tool for reading blogs, and easy to set up.

It's gotta be me. I've been reading from a shared machine at work, so I can't bookmark it. It's bad enough for IT to know that I'm slacking off, I don't need the other users of my machine to know it too...

Probably me too, I finally did bookmark you last night! I just kept forgeting and turning off the program. :^) Last night I found your link on the imaginary stock exchange and decided enough was enough!

I'm also in Ontario and find you hilarious. Thanks for the giggles!

Oh, that's a bookmark? I thought it was some sort of fetish, um, thingy.

Darn.

I guess I'll just have to google for the fetish thingy.

Angela: I love bloglines, though it's too easy to get a list so huge that it becomes a complete burden. Once in a while, I run across a blog that doesn't publish the right kind of feed (or any at all?), and it throws me. "I'll have to bookmark it!!"

Jennifer: Wait! I am among the technically challenged! I really am - just ask my son (17) who finds my questions and requests for assistance endlessly entertaining...

Kimmyk: It's a... bookmark. The old-fashioned kind. :-)

Peter: "Easy to set up" - yes, indeed. Easy for my son to set up for me. Really, I need to start doing this stuff for myself, because in another year, the boy will be off to university. Though there are TWO of them in town. Maybe I'll be lucky and he'll opt for one of those?

Anonymous1: Now that's a good reason! I should feel doubly flattered: that you enjoy it enough to read regularly, and that you'll risk the censure of IT to do it!

Anonymous2: That stock exchange game has me completely baffled. I check on it from time to time because it has provides you with the best list of incoming and outgoing links to your blog I've ever seen, but the rest of it? Makes no sense whatsoever to me, so I just don't pay attention...

MiM: Googling for fetishes? Well, that'll keep you busy! So, you were seeing the tassle as some kind of little silken whip thingy, were you, you kinky little thing, you? Puh-leeze. This is a Family Blog.

How do you know when someone googles you??!!! And what search words they use?

Priya: Down at the very bottom of the sidebar you will see two small square boxes. One shows a blue sphere with a line around it, the other shows blurred bars of colours. See them? Those are site meters, one by Extreme Counters and one by Site Meter. If you click on them, they give all sorts of information about who's coming here, and by what means.
