Too. Tired.

No post today. After a brief reprieve, we plunged right back into a second heat wave a few days back. Yesterday was 35 degrees with a humidex of 48. FORTY-EIGHT!!!! (95 and 118.4. One hundred and eighteen point four!!!!) It was horrific, but I toughed out that most wretched day, knowing that it was supposed to be 22 overnight, and cooling from today on, down to some temperatures in the high teens. Mmmmm... Six o'clock in the morning here, it's 25, humidex of 34. (77 and 93). At six in the morning. I'm just too demoralized to write. See you all tomorrow.

we had a second heat wave this week, too.
You know it's hot when your kids come home from Texas and Louisiana to say "It's HOT!"

Get out the blender and make sweet frozen concoctions with little umbrellas!

Ooh! Hang in there. We spent the heat wave last month clutching bottles of ice, and researching the costs of air conditioning (three weeks just to get someone to come do an estimate - ha!).

yeah, heat waves are really awful when children are involved. trying to get an entire roomful of 12-year-olds to do a socratic seminar in blistering heat and humidity was NOT something i'm interested in trying again...

Oy to the freakin vey. And I thought it was hot here with the ten-day, triple-digit stretch. But that's with no humidity, which just makes it ghastly. I never thought I'd say "come cool off in Utah."

Lots of iced coffee bevvies for you and naps for the kiddies The one blessing is that they usually sleep better b/c the heat wipes them out, too.

Awww. So sorry to hear your energy's zapped from all this crazy weather. What the heck is going on? Over here it seems that the city of SF and the burbs surrounding it have done a good switcheroo where a wicked wind has blown about the last 2-3 days at our place while the city is absolutely beautiul. What gives?

Think icy-igloos and chilly popsicles!!!!

It would appear that Canada has two temperatures, Hot and Cold and both to extremes.

We had a mini heat wave in the UK, thankfully though, the temperature only got upto mid 30's, which when your wearing body armour all day is a great weight loss recipe :-)
