A new baby starts next week. She spent a couple of hours here today. Emily, I think, will do just fine. She's cheerful. She's social. She's doesn't make strange. She's alert and inquisitive. She's a busy little explorer with a ready smile. And if all that weren't enough.... She sleeps!! From 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., and twice a day, 1.5 hours each time. Three cheers for Emily's mommy and daddy! I love them already. All three of them. Mwah! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ © 2006, Mary P

Ooh yeah, we love the sleepers! With all of my kids' quirks, they were both pretty much on the schedule you just described. I guess we did one thing right, anyway.

Kristen: I'm sure you've done a lot more than one thing right! Your parenting principle here is sound: make sure you take satisfaction in the stuff you're sure you did well, or as well as you could. Parenting is a challenging, multi-faceted job, and no one can do it all right. May as well pat ourselves on the back where we can!

Boy, I didn't do it as well with my daughter while she was an infant, but we TRY HARD now (she's 25mo). One of the best parts about being the experienced parent coming into a marriage with the not-yet-experienced man is that he *listens* to me. He's already heard time and again that "sleep begets sleep," so I'm hoping next time, the nap schedule will be better!

Oh, the wee babies are oh so cute! I lurve them all too!

And thanks for your support on the WoW stuff-- I regret ever letting it into the house, but there has been no irreparable damage (I think, I hope).

Mary P, something is up with your site, I think.
I get your new posts through bloglines, however when I click on the home page it does not show the new post, it goes back to the pacifier posts. Are you aware of this or is it just me?

Oh good. Another new one to read about. She sounds wonderful.

Bloglines works for me when it wants to. Right now it isn't highlighting the posts of at least one person I know is part of the blogging 30 day marathon.

Sometimes it doesn't take me to the latest post so I go back and click on the post itself.
